DENVER – States face numerous transportation challenges, given the ‘D+’ the nation’s transportation infrastructure received in the latest ASCE Infrastructure report card, declining fuel tax revenues and record spikes in traffic fatalities. However, new opportunities also exist, particularly with the quickly approaching autonomous vehicle revolution and innovations to increase transportation funds and reduce traffic crashes.

Kevin Corlew has been named a Health Care Hero for being "a champion of policies that ensure Missouri hospitals can attract and retain physicians and front-line health care providers." HealthPAC is the political action committee of the Missouri Hospital Association.

The Missouri Chamber PAC goes through a rigorous and deliberative candidate endorsement selection process, which includes analysis of candidate positions on key economic issues and incumbent candidate vote ratings.

Rep. Corlew Honored with "Champion of Justice" Award

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – To honor the efforts of State Representative Kevin Corlew for his work on improving the criminal justice system, the Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (MAPA) recently awarded him with the Legislative “Champion of Justice” award.  In particular, the award recognized Corlew’s efforts to improve expert-witness standards and to determine the appropriate punishment for teenagers convicted of first-degree murder.

Corlew (R-Kansas City) represents House District 14 in the Missouri General Assembly. He received a Freshman Legislator of the Year Award for Judicial Issues from the Speaker of the Missouri House.

Jefferson City, MO, October 23, 2014—The National Federation of Independent Business, Missouri’s leading small-business association, has endorsed Kevin Corlew in the House District 14 race.

The endorsement was made by NFIB/Missouri’s SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, which is comprised exclusively of NFIB members.

“Kevin Corlew understands the challenges facing the state’s small, family businesses and is the clear choice in House District 14,” said Brad Jones, state director of NFIB/Missouri.

Corlew Campaign Showed Strong Fundraising & Support in 3rd Quarter

Candidate committees filed their third-quarter reports with the Missouri Ethics Commission on October 15. Kevin Corlew now has received more in cash contributions to his campaign than his opponent has in each of the past four reporting periods and for the second consecutive overall quarter. The published disclosure reports show that Corlew’s opponent has received more than one-third of her support from large in-kind donations from a single source—her own environmental business. In contrast, contributions to Corlew’s campaign have come from more than 200 individual and groups.

The endorsement was made by the NFIB/Missouri SAFE Trust (Political Action Committee), which is comprised of small-business owners from across the state. They believe that Corlew will be an effective representative for the more than 8,000 NFIB members in Missouri.

Quarterly Fundraising Numbers Show Growing Support for Corlew

(Kansas City, MO) Kevin Corlew, candidate for State Representative in Missouri House District 14, announced that his campaign raised $14,280 in the second quarter of 2014, which ended June 30. Donations to the campaign during the quarter came from more than 100 contributors. This brings the total contributions received for this election cycle to $19,464.
