On August 5, 2014, voters in Missouri’s House District 14 chose Kevin Corlew to be the Republican nominee for State Representative in District 14. Corlew received approximately 73% of the vote in the Republican primary election.
Here is a copy of Corlew’s statement following the primary election:
I am grateful to the voters in Tuesday's Primary Election who expressed their confidence in me and chose me to be the Republican nominee for State Representative in Missouri's House District 14. I will work hard over the next few months to meet and listen to more voters to hear their concerns and earn their trust. We will continue to spread a common-sense, conservative message that promotes fiscal responsibility and accountability, economic opportunity and reduction of burdensome regulations on small business, a first-class education for Northland students, and public safety.
I express well wishes to Mr. Catton, my primary opponent, who fought hard and has an admirable passion for civic involvement.
I express my love and appreciation to my wife, Amy, and all of our family for their dedication to the cause. Special thanks to all of our supporters and volunteers who helped us achieve victory on Tuesday through their contributions and tireless, hard work. We are proud of our grassroots campaign and plan to work diligently all the way to victory in November's General Election
